Chris and I have an announcement to make ..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
We've been waiting to make the announcement until after we told Chris' boss, but we're moving. I so badly want to put an exclamation point after that, but we are so extremely sad. It's hard to see that this decision is a good one when we will miss Blanding like crazy. It's our friends, our home, our yard, and the land we will miss the most. I have put thousands of miles in on my bike on these roads. And Chris has run over 7,000 miles here with his BFF Ryan. I cried when I realized how many miles they had run together. I feel like he is divorcing his best friend.
Now for the news. Chris got a job at Colorado Northwestern Community College teaching in their business department. Chris has known for a couple years now that he wants to teach, but now that it is real, he is questioning his capabilities. Chris is a born teacher, and I know he will be wonderful. The college is in Rangely, Colorado and the town is perfect for us. They really courted Chris. First they had a phone interview with him, then paid for him to travel up there to tour the college, meet with the dean, and check out the town. The kids and I even went out to lunch with the hiring committee. The job starts in August and Chris will be on a 10 month contract which means he is all mine in the summer. We know this is the right decision, especially for our family, but we are still leaving kicking and screaming.

Oh my gosh-Sad news-especially for all of us Blandingites. You guys are a great asset to the community and will be missed a ton. But what an adventure for you. Some days I think it would be great to move just for the adventure of it all. Good luck with everything!
OK - seriously, this moving trend has got to END! I was just gearing up to THINK about biking...now who will get me excited about it?
What an exciting adventure. It's always crazy where life leads...we never know the road ahead...maybe that is a good thing! Best of luck! You will be missed!
Good for you, but sad for us. That's exciting for your family and Chris especially. How awesome to be recruited so enthusiastically. But we will certainly miss you. Good luck in your next adventure!
We will miss your family. I know we didn't run that many miles together but I will sure miss your insiration that got me going in the beginning. Sorry to see you leave but excited for you as well.
Boo hoo for your Blanding friends, but Wooo Hooo for your sis! I know we will see each other a lot more now. I know it's sad leaving friends you've had for a long time. This is exciting for Chris, and the whole family!!! Good luck with getting your house ready, I know you can do it! Love you tons!!!!!!
I don't think you asked our permission before you decided to move. We DO NOT give you permission. We are really going to miss you, but tell Chris congratulations. We understand that you have do what is best for your family.
How sad to leave a place that has come to feel so much like home. You guys were a wonderful asset to the area. If Chris is half as good with college kids as he is with 1st grade boys playing flag football, he will be wonderful. I have missed seeing Calvin at school. I just really like that kid. Good luck with the move. Sometimes, a new place is a good thing. We LOVE it here.
Sarah...I can't believe it. I wanted to come visit you this summer and check out the parts of Utah I've never seen...and now you'll be GONE! It sounds like an opportunity too good to miss, though. You will be straight west of Katie and Shauna in Loveland!!! Tell Chris congratulations for us.
What a sad and joyous time. I am so excited for your new adventures! Chris IS an awesome teacher and example. I hope things go well in Colorado and I love all of you so much! Good luck!

I should check your blog more often.
That is great news as far as the job opportunity. I know you've been very happy in Blanding and I'm sad for you to have to move. I've never been to that part of Colorado before. Maybe we'll have to go now!
